Toro - Fatty Tuna - Weight Varies

Toro is the prized fatty belly of the tuna, and the cut sushi chefs reserve for their best guests. Rich marbling gives this fatty tuna a buttery texture that melts on the tongue, whether you slice it for sashimi and nigiri or give it a quick sear. The fattiest section is known in Japanese as otoro, with the slightly leaner chutoro beside it.

Our toro is super frozen at sea to lock in color and texture, and it arrives as a whole piece of roughly 2 to 2.5 lbs that you can portion while still frozen. Cooking Instructions

Thaw in the refrigerator in its packaging. Slice thinly against the grain for sashimi, or sear briefly in a very hot pan and slice.
